Dreams for My Family

Calling on Kids and Teens: Get Your Colouring Pencils Out!...

If you are a young artist whose life or family has been affected by MS, then pick up your art supplies today! Bayer Schering Pharma has just launched the Dreams for My Family art contest asking anyone up to age 17 years old who is living with, or has a parent of relative affected by MS, to submit a drawing. The winning artist will have their drawing featured on a t-shirt that will be sold worldwide. 5 Irish winners will also be chosen and will have their art featured in MSnews.

The competition encourages young people living with or affected by MS to illustrate what they wish for or want to do with their family in the future.

“People living with MS, especially younger people, often experience fears and concerns about their future and what an MS diagnosis means for their family,” said Taragh Donohue, Communications Manager from MS Ireland. “Today with the launch of the Dreams for My Family art contest, we want people to understand that, with effective disease management and patient support, people whose lives are impacted by MS can have a positive outlook on their future.”

Participation in the contest is free. The deadline for submissions is 31st of August 2010. The winner will be announced later this year.

“Through ongoing education and support programs as well as research and development into effective therapies, Bayer is a committed partner to the MS advocacy community. We’re proud to sponsor this art contest and to be working with MS Ireland and other MS organisations from around the world” said Katy Carroll, Business Unit Manager, Bayer Schering Pharma, Dublin.
