Over 120,000 people in Ireland suffer from neuropathic pain, which can often be a symptom for some people living with MS. This chronic condition results from damage to either the nerves that normally sense pain or from injury to a part of the nervous system that transmits pain signals, such as the spine or the brain.
A new website has been launched www.mysterypain.ie to provide information and support for people unable to describe their pain so that the condition can be diagnosed early and treated.
