Service Development

As information is often cited as the most important service needed by people affected by MS, we wish to develop the range and depth of information we provide to all members of the MS community; people with MS, their families, carers, health professionals, employers and others.

As part of our strategic direction in this area, the MS Ireland Helpline will be renamed the MS Ireland Information Line and it will lead the information development process. The Information Line team will remain available to offer emotional support to service users. To assist in the development of information the hours of the Information Line will change to 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. 

Calls outside of these hours will be diverted to a messaging service and will be returned the following morning. This interim arrangement will be monitored and reviewed within three months.

Our online survey is now closed. The results of the data analysis will be posted early May 2010.
