Multiple Sclerosis Ireland encourages and promotes MS research as it is the most beneficial way to improve understanding of the disease; leading to better treatments, interventions, management and ultimately a cure for MS. Although medical and scientific research is the mainstay, social research plays a significant role in understanding the quality of life implications MS has on a person, family, community and society. MS Ireland operates a Research Fund giving Irish researchers an opportunity to contribute to MS research and we are committeed to providing accurate, understandable research information to the MS community.
