    What donations qualify for Tax Relief?

    If you are a PAYE taxpayer, and make donations of €250 or more to MS Ireland in any one year, you are eligible. You don’t have to make this donation in one go. Donations are cumulative, so a direct debit or standing order of €21 a month will bring you over the threshold. 

    Where do I get a tax relief form?

    Early in the new year, we will send you the appropriate form that MS Ireland need to claim back the tax. Alternatively, you can download the CHY2 Form HERE and send it back to us. If you would like us to post you out the form, please call 01- 6781600 

    Where do I send my completed form?

    Please send your completed form to MS Ireland, 80 Northumberland Road, Dublin 4. Call 01- 678 1600 if you have any queries or email fundraising@ms-society.ie  

    How does Charity Tax Relief work and how much is it worth?

    MS Ireland can reclaim the tax paid on all personal donations over €250 made over the course of one tax year (January 1st-December 31st)

    If you are a PAYE taxpayer and pay tax at the standard rate of 20%, your donation of €250 is actually worth €300 to MS Ireland.

    If you are a PAYE taxpayer and pay tax at the higher rate of 41%, your donation of €250 is actually worth €352.50 to MS Ireland.

    I am a Self Assessed Tax Payer / Corporation. How do I reclaim tax paid on my donation?

    Self assessed tax payers and corporations can also reclaim tax on donations which is retained by the person or corporation. Many companies make the decision to donate the reclaimed tax to MS Ireland, making their donation go even further.
