Emergency Evacuation Survey

The University of Ulster are conducting a survey for people with mobility impairments on evacuation procedures

Dear MS Society member,

We, the University of Ulster are currently carrying out research in ‘Vertical Evacuation Procedures for People with Mobility Impairments; The End Users Perspective’.

The views of people with mobility impairments on evacuation procedures have not been sought in Ireland previously, and so it is important to establish realistic and representative views on this subject.

We request assistance from people with mobility impairments to complete the on-line questionnaire. If you wish to take part in this study, please complete the following questionnaire and click submit on the final page. The questionnaire itself should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You can access the survey on the following web link:

http://surveys.ulster.ac.uk/limesurvey34/index.php?sid=41844&lang=en

The questionnaire will be available on-line to complete from Wednesday, 16th January until Wednesday 13th February 2013, which is a four week period.

Many recommendations on evacuation procedures could be made based on the results obtained; therefore the more participants and information received the better.

The research team at the University of Ulster would be very appreciative if you would assist us with our endeavor to improve fire safety procedures for those with mobility impairments by completing this questionnaire.
