The Wild Atlantic Relay from Mizen to Malin, is a walking relay across 1000 km, for people with Multiple Sclerosis in Ireland. The relay starts off on Sunday June 4th at Mizen Head finishing at Malin Head on Saturday July 22nd. Paul McGovern who is living with MS, and his wife Karen are leading the relay and will be joined by MS Ireland branch volunteers and supporters with the help of Centra stores in towns along the route. 2017 will be our 36th Annual Galtee Walk. Many people join us yearly including friends, family, business groups, scout troops, walking clubs & many more. Will you be one of them this year? We begin at the Skeheenarinky approach, from the Black Road, which provides a panoramic vista of the mountain landscape. We are also looking for people with mountain walking experience to join our stewarding team, so if you can volunteer some time (approx 4½ hrs) please contact Mary for more details. The event is fully supported by Irish Red Cross, Fermoy/Conna Branch. Parking facilities provided. Refreshments served on return.
