Thank you so much for supporting MS Ireland We were delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for the 2013 Vantastival Festival in Co Louth. The festival was fantastic and we had some wonderful volunteers over the weekend who helped to raise almost €2,000 for MS Ireland’s services. We would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers of Vantastival and to all those who volunteered with us – we really appreciate your support! (l-r) Volunteers Fiona Murphy and Sinead O Malley
18 members of the RTE Television Sales team walk the Wicklow Way for Charity MS Ireland wish to thank the members of the RTE Television Sales team for nominating MS Ireland as one of their chosen charities. Now let's find out what happened on the day!! We braved the elements on Saturday morning to undertake the Wicklow to Enniskerry section of the Wicklow Way; a 21km walk.that turned into a 30km walk as the crew blithely continued past the finish line to start the next part of the Wicklow Way, headed for Glendalough! Through uniquely-Irish weather which included bursts of misty drizzle, scorching sunshine and what has been reported as hailstones or possibly 'actual snow', two brief lunch stops and an unverified number of fortifying swigs from a hip flask, the group managed the walk in a little over 8 hours, rewarding themselves with a well-earned bowl of soup at the Powerscourt Arms upon completion. We are sincerely grateful to those who have generously donated over the last weeks and months. The moral support and well wishes were also hugely appreciated and the group said that they really spurred them on, particularly during the last two hours of the trek. The chosen charities are The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and The Irish Cancer Society.

Lunch for the Care Centre a huge success A fantastic time was had at the recent annual Friends of the MS Care Centre lunch, which took place in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin on Friday, 26th April. The third year of the lunch saw a great turnout, as many MS friends attended and took part in the auction and raffle on the day. Publishing entrepreneur and radio and television presenter Norah Casey lent a hand to the proceedings, as did writer, comedian Barry Murphy. Paralympian Anne Marie McDaid also shared her wonderful, inspiring story. A sincere thanks and appreciation for everyone's generous support to MS Ireland.
