World MS Day Campaign

The theme this year is ‘diagnosis’. The time of diagnosis can be emotionally challenging for many. Whether someone has just received a diagnosis of MS or have transitioned to a different type of MS, various concerns and emotions can arise.

Recognising that each diagnosis journey is as unique as a fingerprint, it is crucial to provide a platform for individuals to share their experiences if they wish to do so.

This year, we invite people living with MS to compose a letter about their diagnosis. This letter can be addressed to anyone they choose, whether it's their past or future self, their family, healthcare providers, or decision-makers.

Within these letters, individuals have the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings, share their concerns or hopes for the future, and explain what they want others to understand about MS. The content of the letters is entirely up to the author's discretion.

On World MS Day - May 30th

We encourage those living with MS to share their letters on their own social media accounts, tagging MS Ireland at one of three peak times:

  • 9:30 am
  • 1:30 pm
  • 5:00 pm

Our tags are:

  • Facebook: Multiple Sclerosis Ireland
  • Instagram: @multiple_sclerosis_ireland
  • Twitter: @MSIRELAND

We also request that individuals use the following hashtags: #ManyStories #WorldMSDay2024 #MSDiagnosis
