A very eager group of first year girls gave us a very warm reception before we launched into the talk. First we wanted to tell the students a little bit about MS, its causes and how it affects people all across Ireland. After some fun games that showed (in a unique way!) how MS affects the central nervous system, we talked to the class about the how their MS READaTHON donations help us provide services for people with MS. Lucky for us we didn’t need to start from the beginning since most of them are already signed up and are busy reading book after book to raise money for MS Ireland!
We told everyone that there are a few things they can do to make the MS READaTHON more fun for them as well as for us here in HQ. An action as simple as giving us a ‘Like’ on our new Facebook page means that you’ll be connected with us and keep informed on all of MS Ireland’s activities all over the country.
