World MS Day 2025

ABOUT WORLD MS DAY
World MS Day is observed globally on the 30th May every year. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and bring together those who are living with the condition to share their stories.
THE WORLD MS DAY THEME
The theme this year is ‘diagnosis’. The time of diagnosis can be emotionally challenging for many. Whether someone has just received a diagnosis of MS or have transitioned to a different type of MS, various concerns and emotions can arise.
Recognising that each diagnosis journey is as unique as a fingerprint, it is crucial to provide a platform for individuals to share their experiences if they wish to do so.
Raising Awareness on the Big Screen!
This World MS Day, MS Ireland is shining a spotlight on multiple sclerosis in a whole new way—on the big screen! From May 30th 2025, for six weeks, cinemas across Ireland will feature our brand new 30-second awareness ad ahead of selected films. This nationwide campaign is designed to raise public awareness about MS and encourage more people to learn about the condition and the vital support available through MS Ireland.
Why the Cinema? The cinema offers a powerful space to reach people in a way that’s captivating and memorable. Our video features real people living with MS, as well as highlighting key services provided by MS Ireland. It’s a reminder that MS can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background—and that support is always available!
