On the evening of World MS Day (May 30th) we will be holding an information event to explore the topic of ‘Uncertainty in MS’
We are thrilled to invite you to our annual World MS Day Coffee Morning at the MS Care Centre on May 30th. This special event is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of those affected by Multiple Sclerosis, raise awareness, and enjoy a morning filled with fun, coffee, cake, entertainment, a raffle and a plant sale!
This year, MS Ireland are aiming to raise awareness and understanding of MS amongst the general public. MS Ireland has reached out to pharmacy chains across Ireland, urging them to participate in our awareness campaign. We are asking them to display facts about mutiple scleroosis (MS) in their stores, utilising a poster available on the MS Ireland website. Additionally, they're encouraged to share this information on their social media platforms.
My name is Stefan I'm 32 and live in London. I was diagnosed with MS in 2017. I am a teacher, a poet and a huge swimmer. I hope you enjoy this poem and also hope that you know that you are not by yourself in dealing with MS. I wrote this poem because my friend thought it would be a good idea and that it would help me. In early 2023, MS Ireland undertook a comprehensive survey aimed at delving into the experiences and needs of young adults aged 18 to 35 living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The survey, which 126 people responded to, sought to gauge awareness of and engagement with MS Ireland, experiences at the time of diagnosis, challenges faced, and suggestions for improvement.
On World MS Day – 30th May - we are hoping to get 10,000 people to Dip for Diagnosis to represent the 10,000 people living with MS in Ireland. Join us for a Dip on World MS Day – whether it’s a dip in the sea, river, lake, pool or a cold shower and raise funds and awareness for vital services for the MS Community. Register here
The 43rd Annual Walk-in aid of the Fermoy Branch Multiple Sclerosis Society takes place on Sunday the 16th of June from 10am–4pm (Father’s Day), in Glansheskin Forest Recreation Area (Kilworth Wood).
