Mary McKeon

Mary has a strong history of MS on both sides of her family – and has long been aware of the work and value of MS Ireland and the Branches.
A committed member of MS Ireland since her own diagnosis in 2003, Mary as Chair led the re-establishment of South Dublin Branch in 2014 and has served as Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer over the past 11 years.
Mary has served on the Strategic Planning Team and the People & Organisation Committee of MS Ireland. Mary has also an Ambassador for the MS Readathon over many years and was MS Ireland Ambassador for Tesco Charity of the Year 2005.
A graduate at Master’s level (MSc Econ Policy Analysis) and with several professional qualifications, including in Strategic Leadership and Accounting & Finance, Mary enjoyed a senior career in the Civil Service, latterly in the Department of Finance. Having retired early due to MS, Mary is involved at leadership and governance level with other national bodies in the charity and public service sectors. She is currently a Director of Public Service Credit Union and a Trustee of Depaul Housing. Mary Chairs the Audit and Risk Committees of both organisations, and previously served as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment.
