Thirteen member organisations, and a large group of people with neurological conditions and their families, joined the NAI in highlighting the crisis in neurological care
Attendees heard that funding cuts to NAI organisations are steadily eroding what little support is available in the community. Family members spoke of the importance of their charity and how it was a "lifeline" to them
Chris Macey, Chair of NAI, drew attention to Ireland's dismal performance in providing rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions. Just one in six can access the vital rehabilitation they need. This issue was picked up later that evening by RTE 1's drivetime programme.
