Learning Opportunity for Nurses Working with an MS Population

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland and the European MS Platform (EMSP) had an official launch in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle on the 28th  November 2013 to announce an accredited learning opportunity for Nurses working with an MS population: Aligning the Role of the Nurse Working with an MS Population Across Europe Introducing MS Nurse PROfessional in Ireland, an Accredited Course for Nurses  

  • Accredited by six CME organisations across Europe, including the UK Royal College of Nursing (RCN), the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) carrying category 1 approval. 
  • The programme is endorsed by the European Association for Neurosciences Nurses (EANN), MS Ireland, the Health Service Executive of Ireland and seven other pan-European patient advisory groups.
  • MS Nurse PROfessional is a new, free, flexible e-learning training curriculum developed to meet the preliminary educational needs of nurses and other healthcare professionals providing MS care.

At the launch, Ava Battles, CEO, MS Ireland welcomed the programme and thanked everyone for their collaborative effort in creating, endorsing and supporting such an important course for the treatment of people with MS.
