Let us tell you about Finn. This is not just any little boy, no. This ten year old decided to set himself a challenge to do everything he could to raise funds for people with MS by taking on the MS READaTHON this year. Boy did he exceed his goal!
Finn raised over €1,100 but trust us, that's not even the most amazing part of the story! You see Finn wanted to add a personal touch to our sponsorship forms so he created his own, added little drawings and told the story of why he wanted to raise lots of money. He was also challenged to hold a bake sale at his school and what do you think Finn did next? Well he held a big bake sale of course! Take a look at the flyer he created!
Finn knows just how important MS Ireland local services are because his father has MS. That's right, Finn's dad is one of the thousands of people with MS right across Ireland who will have access to services because book-bots just like you and Finn are reading and raising funds through the MS READaTHON.
When Finn asked us if he could come in to MS READaTHON HQ with his mum to present his cheque we were only too delighted to have him over one afternoon. We were just overwhelmed by the dedication this young boy showed to helping people with MS and hope you are too.
We would like to say a big thank you to Finn, his family and his sponsors for reminding us of the good in all people and that, particularly at this extra special time of year, people are happy to help each other when they need it most. That's the most important thing, isn't it?
