Here at MS Ireland we are always thrilled when anyone comes on board to organise a fundraiser for our local services across the country. The enthusiasm shown by each of our fundraisers makes us smile and lately we're thinking how creative Team MS Ireland is - every event seems to be more out there than the last!
So imagine our faces when someone said they wanted to swim around Ireland to raise funds and awareness of MS. Well that's just what Ripley Davenport is doing and we are excited! The adventurer has decided to take to the ocean in his Round Ireland Swim this summer. This physically and mentally gruelling task will test Ripley's limits and as a person with MS we can only say thank you to him for taking on such an enormous challenge for MS Ireland.
Ripley is also part of our fantastic Schools Programme as an ambassador so he is heavily involved with the work we do and all we'll say is we would've loved to have an adventurer come and speak to us when we were in school!
