The Living with MS podcast from MS Ireland has returned for its second season, continuing its mission to share real experiences of life with multiple sclerosis and amplify the voices of the Irish MS community.
The new season opens with a compelling conversation featuring writer, speaker, Unspeakable Bits webinar host and MS advocate Trevis L. Gleason.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2001, Trevis has become one of the most recognised and respected voices writing about life with MS. What began as a personal journey has grown into a body of work that has supported and connected people living with chronic illness around the world.
This year marks a significant milestone for Trevis, as he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his Everyday Health blog. Over that time, he has written more than 2,500 pieces reflecting on the realities of living with MS, from challenges and uncertainty to adaptation, resilience and moments of humour along the way. His publisher has described him as “one of the most prolific and long-standing chroniclers of life with chronic illness on the web”.
In this first episode of season 2, Trevis reflects on his journey from working in the hospitality sector to becoming a writer and advocate. He shares his experience of diagnosis, how he navigated the changes that followed, and what “living well” with MS means to him today.
The conversation is honest and grounded in lived experience, offering valuable insight for anyone affected by MS, whether newly diagnosed or further along in their journey.
The Living with MS podcast series highlights the diversity of experiences within the MS community. By sharing personal stories, the series aims to provide understanding, connection and support to listeners across Ireland and beyond.
Season two promises more powerful conversations in the months ahead, continuing to shine a light on the realities of living with MS.
