Dr Rebecca Maguire (CPsychol.) is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Maynooth University who has been living with MS for a number of years. She holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology, as well as an MA and PhD in Cognitive Science from University College Dublin. Rebecca is involved in a number of different research projects investigating the psychological wellbeing of those with chronic illness and their caregivers. She has a particular interest in furthering MS research, from both a professional and personal perspective. Rebecca is a strong advocate for all those affected by MS, and is involved in IPPOSI (which emphasises public and patient involvement in research) and the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP). She has been a Director of MS Ireland since 2019.
