To celebrate World MS Day in the West, the MS Western Regional office organised a public information Evening on May 29th.
The venue for the evening was the Westwood House Hotel and the speakers were Dr. Tim Counihan, Neurologist University Hospital Galway and Dr. Una Fitzgerald, Researcher, National Univeristy College Galway. Dr Counihan’s spoke about case histories and treatment options while Dr Fitzgerald’s talk examined why the MS puzzle is so hard to solve.
The event was attended by about 50 people and the feedback afterwards was very positive. It proved a fantastic opportunity for people with MS and their families to come together and get some practical information about their condition.
The evening was organised by Tina Lally and the Western Regional Office. Many thanks to the organisers, Dr Counihan and Dr Fitzgerald and all who attended.
