The Unspeakable Bits: MS Money Matters

*Multiple Sclerosis is an expensive disease. Find out how to cope on our next Unspeakable Bits webcast*

“Money”, as characters in the Kander and Ebb song from Cabaret quip, “Makes the world go round.”  And while multiple sclerosis doesn’t stop our world from spinning, it can reverse its polarity.

Our third installment of The Unspeakable Bits From a Life with MS airs on Thursday, 30th of March.  This month, we’re talking about the ‘earth-turning’ and normally avoided topic – Money.

With our guests, Ruth Hennelly from Hennelly Financial Services, John Fahy of Fahy Solicitors, and MS Ireland’s North Dublin Community Worker Kat Kershaw, we are going to talk about all things MS and money related.

Focusing on the three stages of life – young/newly diagnosed, prime earning years, and retirement/early retirement – we will pose the difficult questions to our panel of experts.  In so many ways, multiple sclerosis forces us to live our lives in a fast-forward mode.  Planning for and coping with financial issues is, indeed, one of them.

We’ll talk about issues like tucking away a little extra to what programs are available for those of us who can no longer work (or work and earn the way we once did).  We’ll delve into long-term planning and emergency funds. In short, the plan is to talk about the things we never hear spoken of.

I’ll be hosting the one-hour webcast live from 20:00 Irish Summer Time. It will be available later for viewing for those unable to make it on Thurdsay, 30th of March.

We look forward to seeing you join us on the night!

Wishing you and your family the best of health.

Cheers,
