Taking part is simple. Sign up, choose what you want to read and ask family, friends and your community to support your Readathon. From novels and factual books to comics and everything in between, what you read is up to you.
Every page you turn can help MS Ireland continue to provide vital services and support to people living with multiple sclerosis and their families.

Meet Sarah, Violeta, Deborah and Keith, our 2026 MS Readathon Ambassadors, who are sharing their stories and inspiring children, families and schools across Ireland to get reading this November.
Meet Sarah
Primary school teacher and mum of two Sarah Mather helped launch MS Readathon 2026, encouraging readers of all ages across Ireland to get involved.

Meet Violeta
Violeta Keretic, mum of two and MS Readathon 2026 Ambassador, is encouraging schools, families and readers across Ireland to pick up a book and get involved this November.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in late 2025, Violeta is sharing her story to help raise awareness of MS and show how something as simple as reading can make a real difference.
For Violeta, books also offer a welcome escape: “Sometimes you need somewhere to go when your own head is too full, and books give you that escape.”
Meet Deborah
Deborah Cuddihy, primary school teacher, children’s author and MS Readathon 2026 Ambassador, is helping to raise awareness of MS through reading and storytelling.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2011, Deborah shares her experience of living with MS and how it inspired her to write Willow’s Mum Has MS, a children’s book helping young readers better understand the condition.
Meet Keith
Keith Byrne, primary school teacher in Ballymun and MS Readathon 2026 Ambassador, is encouraging children across Ireland to discover the joy of reading.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2015, Keith shares how reading and writing have helped him navigate life with MS and why developing a love of books from an early age is so important.
For Keith, the MS Readathon is a chance to inspire young readers while raising vital funds to support people living with MS across Ireland.
