From February 8th to 15th, MS Ireland's Care Centre hosted Younger Persons Week, a dedicated respite program designed for people under 45 who had never before experienced a stay at Bushy Park. This initiative provided a unique and much-needed opportunity for younger individuals living with MS to take a break, connect with others in a similar situation, and engage in a carefully tailored program aimed at supporting their physical and emotional well-being.

MS Ireland is delighted to announce that we will be running 'How to Use Activator Poles' classes starting Thursday, 6th March, for six weeks at Tower Hall (near Blarney), Co. Cork. The sessions will take place every Thursday from 11am to 12pm.

The Unspeakable Bits hosts Susan Coote from MS Ireland to discuss strategies for managing energy and reducing fatigue while living with multiple sclerosis. Learn how to make the most of an MS day. Watch the video below.

The All Ireland Multiple Sclerosis (AIMS) Research Network is set to host a key event aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the academic, clinical, and MS communities. The event will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 09:30 to 18:00 at Maynooth University, TSILT2, TSI Building.

The MS and Me team is pleased to introduce the A to Z of MS series, designed to demystify multiple sclerosis, challenge misconceptions, and offer valuable information and support to those living with MS and their loved ones. 

This year's Brain Awareness Week takes place from the 10th - 16th March 2025 and the hashtag is #brainawarenessweek2025

This morning I opened the shutters of my bedroom to refresh the air; I could feel the warm breeze and see the blue sky. I smiled with joy. Even after being in Spain for a few months, I still get immense pleasure from this everyday.  

While residing in Ireland, most mornings when I opened the window I was greeted  by a cold blast and a grey view. I had to think - will I be able to get out for a walk today or will the rain keep me indoors? If the wind was too strong, exercising outside was not possible due to my balance issues. The climate in Ireland is tough for people with MS.

We are excited to announce the launch of our Move to Improve Challenge, a fun and inclusive initiative that aims to raise vital funds for MS Ireland’s physiotherapy programmes. Whether you are living with MS, a neurological condition, or simply looking to enhance your mobility, this six-week challenge is for you!
