Professor Kingston Mills
My research is focused on understanding the role of the immune response in the control of infection and how this can become dysregulated to cause autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis (MS). The discovery from my lab has led to a better understanding of basic mechanisms of protective immunity against bacteria and viruses and of the diseases processes in autoimmunity using a model of MS, experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
