At MS Ireland, we recognise the importance of connecting with others who understand the experience of living with MS. Peer support is a key part of how we support our community.
MS Ireland offers programmes that aim to improve the overall well-being of people with MS. These programmes are facilitated by a combination of MS Ireland staff, external contractors, volunteers and partner organisations (such as the HSE and Education and Training Boards (ETB)).
They aim to improve overall well-being by providing up-to-date information, encouraging peer engagement and support. They also offer opportunities to improve symptom management. These programmes include the following:
The ‘My Moving Brain’ initiative concluded with a national event that brought together voices from across Ireland to share experiences, reflect on progress and shape more inclusive opportunities in sport and physical activity.
