An article in the Irish Independent this week highlighed concerns that people with neurological conditions may miss out on new medications due to HSE cutbacks.
The Migraine Association of Ireland will hold Ireland's first ever national conference on Migraine at Work on Thursday, April 19th from 10.00-15.00hrs at the Ashling Hotel, Dublin.
The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) and Care Alliance are carrying out a survey of carers of people with neurological conditions.The results will be published during Carers Week this June. The NAI is an umbrella group of over 30 neurological charities and Care Alliance is the national umbrella for organisations representing family carers. The World Health Organisation has warned that cases of dementia are set to soar in the coming decades. Some 35.6 million people were living with dementia in 2010 but that figure is set to double to 65.7 million by 2030.
