We held our Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 16th September 2023 via Zoom with members of MS Ireland logging in throughout the country.
Below are the main updates from the meeting.
Sean Martin is a chartered accountant and a partner in PwC. He has over 15 years experience advising companies on acquisitions, disposals and valuations. He has worked with many of Ireland's largest public and private companies.
He lives in Dublin with his wife and two girls. He was diagnosed with MS in 2015.

In a significant development, the HSE has announced a Managed Access Program for Sativex, an anti-spasticity medication which may be of benefit to those who experience MS-related spasticity but for whom other anti-spasticity medications have not been successful.

The Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) has released a one-page information sheet highlighting the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and multiple sclerosis (MS). EBV, a prevalent virus affecting up to 95% of the global population, has long been a subject of interest in MS research.
Multiple Sclerosis… the name in itself can be frightening at any stage in life, even for those carrying the burden of it. What we often don't do, is talk about it as honestly as we must.
Sometimes, we fear the reaction of those living with us, or we want to hide the unpredictability of symptoms popping up at the wrong time.
