Niall O’Brien and a group of friends are preparing to take on an extraordinary cycling challenge this August, travelling 687km from Mizen Head in Cork to Malin Head in Donegal to raise funds for MS Ireland.

An international study involving Ireland, Italy, Israel and Denmark is exploring whether an online physiotherapy system called WizeCare is practical and easy to use for a personalised home exercise programme, and whether it can improve strength, balance and walking for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

At the recent Leinster House Pre-Budget Submission briefing, MS Ireland called for targeted investment in Budget 2027 to expand specialist neurological physiotherapy services and address a significant gap in community support for people living with multiple sclerosis in Dublin, the South East, the South West, Sligo, and Leitrim.
